"We originally explored vending machine options to help
us solve two key issues at Burke County High School; to
serve more students at lunch within a shortened time
period and to provide an option that did not involve
adding the expense of another cashier and equipment of a
traditional serving line.
The Star Food solution has been simply fabulous and has
far exceeded our expectations. We now serve 150-300
additional students each day with our two machine
locations around campus. The pre-packaged items make
the transaction fast and easy, reaching a whole new
audience of students who have not eaten with us in the
past. Even when a traditional Southern favorite such as
fried chicken is served in the cafeteria, students still
prefer the Star Food option.”
The Star Food
solution was launched at Burke County High School in
August 2007 and Martin has hosted more than a dozen
foodservice directors from nearby districts to the
campus to see the vending makings in action.

"We selected the Star Food solution in the fall
of 2007 for our unique open-style campus with
200 vocational students. With the carousel
operation and one, simple selection process to
provide a complete reimbursable meal for our
students, we can feed more kids and decrease
staff costs."
"The selection
process is easy and fast; only 15-20 seconds per
event. This is a huge benefit when feeding high
school kids on a tight class schedule. I have
researched other vending machine options, but
only recommend the Star Food solution."
